Xolo Q1020 with wood design launched in India at Rs 11499

The Indian smartphone market has a new budget-minded handset, the Xolo Q1020, which offers an attractive design and decent specs without breaking the bank. The new phone has been officially launched at Rs 11499 and it’s being touted as a premium release by the company.

What sets the smartphone apart from the competition is that it offers a wooden finish which is sadly, limited to the sides only. The overall design is pretty eye-catchy and so is the hardware onboard. The phone is 8.7mm thick and it features a 5-inch 720p HD IPS display on the front with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The phone comes with Android 4.4 KitKat and it’s powered by a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek processor. The OS is preloaded with various software enhancements including the HotKnot file transfer technology, gesture inputs and more. Memory provisions comprise of 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and a microSD card slot.

Apart from the attractive design, the Xolo Q1020 also boasts of a great camera experience through its 13MP Exmor RS rear sensor from Sony. The front snapper isn’t anything to write home around at 2MP and it should deliver decent selfies and work well for video calling. The handset is also dual SIM enabled and it supports HSPA+ networks.
