Lava Iris 408e entry-level phone drops anchor in India, priced at Rs 3,829

The Lava Iris 408e has been launched unofficially in India and it has already hit the retail circuit with a price tag of Rs 3,829 attached to it. Only recently, its sibling that goes by the name of Iris 404e was made available as well. The latter is an affordable gadget too as it has been priced at Rs 4,899.

This Lava smartphone has yet to receive official recognition and as of now, it is only up for grabs via an e-retailer. For the extremely pocket-friendly price of under Rs 4K, you get a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The Lava Iris 408e is fitted firmly on a casing with dimensions of 125 x 64.8 x 10.35 millimeters. You can purchase the phone in shades of either black or silver.

It allows potential buyers to capture images as well as videos using a 3MP rear camera, while the VGA snapper on the front can come in handy for making video calls. The Lava Iris 408e runs the ancient Android Gingerbread has a single core processor ticking at 1GHz for its multitasking needs. 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM is what you get along with the gadget, but the latter can be increased further by up to 32GB using a microSD card.
