Motorola Moto G priced at Rs 12,999 in India

Ever since Motorola announced that it is planning to bring the Moto G to India, there have been speculations regarding the device’s launch. Initially we heard that the device will be here in January, but then it got delayed and the company said it will reveal the launch details on February 5.

And that’s exactly what Motorola has done. Today it disclosed the price and availability details of the phone that will not set you back by a penny more than Rs 14,499. As of now, it is exclusive to Flipkart, however, very soon the Moto G will be made available via other retailers too. Snapdeal who received over 1000 pre-orders, will dispatch it to customers sometime in the third week of February.

Although it falls in the affordable category and is priced under Rs 15K, the Motorola Moto G hardly misses out on any of the essential features. You get a capacitive 4.5-inch touchscreen with the phone and it is said to be capable of rendering visuals in 720p resolution. Under the screen lies an intuitive interface that can be attributed to the Android 4.3 OS. And you will be glad to know that the KitKat 4.4 update is also in the offing.

Furthermore, the phone is powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor sprinting at 1.2GHz and has 1GB of RAM for company. It features either 8GB or 16GB onboard memory which is not expandable further. Also, a 2070mAh battery is responsible for keeping it charged up.

The 8GB and 16GB variants of the Moto G are priced at Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,499, respectively.
