Lava Iris 405+ goes official for Rs 6,999, available now

The Lava Iris 405+ smartphone was spotted only a few days ago on an online retailer and the company wasted no time in launching it officially in India. It has been priced at Rs 6,999, but can be purchased via online retailers for a discounted rate of Rs 6,549. The OEM has revealed that the smartphone will hit store shelves from today onwards.

This compact device accommodates a 4-inch touchscreen on the front panel and this capacitive LCD display has a resolution of 480 x 800p resolution. Its pixel density stands at 233ppi. You will also find a 0.3MP webcam on the front surface, while a 5MP camera graces the rear side. The latter brings attributes like LED flash, 4x digital zoom, a BSI sensor and HD video recording capability amongst several other things.

Furthermore, the successor to the Iris 405 makes the most of the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS and should offer access to the Play store. It features dual SIM card slots as well as a microSD card bay for increasing the 4GB onboard memory by up to 32GB. It acquires steam from a 1.3GHz dual core processor as well as 512MB of RAM and draws power from a 1400mAh lithium-ion battery for talk time of up to 10 hours in 2G and close to 2 hours in the 3G mode.

The Lava Iris 405+ has been listed on Flipkart, but it is currently out of stock.
