With network providers seeming to be in a hurry to stock up all the latest handsets, the Nexus 4 has already been grabbed by T-Mobile, and details about it have now come to the fore. The smartphone will be up for sale through this particular carrier on November 14, that’s a day after it starts rolling out via the Google Play Store.
The Nexus 4 made its first public appearance merely a day ago after having been speculated about a number of times in the past. Now that it has arrived, here’s what it brings on the menu. This smartphone rides into town on the latest version of Jelly Bean, just like the Nexus 10 and the Nexus 7. A Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro with a 1.5GHz quad core Krait CPU teams up with 2GB of RAM for efficient multitasking. Plus, users will have access to the carrier’s 4G LTE service for an enhanced web browsing experience.
The handset comes with a 4.7-inch WXVGA True HD multi-touch display similar to the one seen on the company’s flagship device. Under the hood, a 2100mAh battery juices up the phone, and is capable of delivering up to 15.3 hours of talktime or 390 hours of standby on a single charge. Besides the smartphone in question, the network provider will also offer the beefed up version of the Nexus 7 through Google Play on November 13.
The Nexus 4 will be available at a price of $199.99 (approx. Rs 10,835) on the Value plan that includes a monthly payment of $15 (approx. Rs. 810) for 20 months, a two-year agreement and qualifying voice and data tariffs. Or else, potential buyers can purchase the handset on a $199.99 (approx. Rs. 10,835) Classic plan, inclusive of a two-year contract, voice and data tariff subscription and a $50 (approx. Rs. 2,705) mail-in rebate.
