Samsung Nexus 10

The Samsung Nexus 10 as well as its price details have been unveiled, and this handset is being accompanied by a few other Google-branded members as well, including the Nexus 4 and the updated Nexus 7. From previous reports, we know that the device has been compared to the iPad 3 in many ways, so does it really give some healthy competition to the 9.7-inch tablet?

Starting with the display that has been talked about before, the slate in question flaunts a 10-inch screen which offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600p and a pixel density of 300ppi. Whereas, the 9.7-inch Retina display on the iPad 3 renders visuals with a resolution of 2048 x 1536p and a pixel density of 264ppi. The Nexus 10 weighs not more than 603 grams with a thickness of 8.9mm, while the 9.4mm-thick 4th generation iPad tips the scales at 652 grams.

Moving on to the other specifications, the tablet in question offers a sweet ride on the Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, and runs on an A15 dual core processor operating at 1.7GHz. Users will be able to select between 16GB or 32GB of hoarding capacities, but there’s no built-in microSD card slot for additional storage. Other features to watch out for include a 5MP primary camera, a 1.9MP secondary snapper, a 9000mAh Li-ion battery and Wi-Fi.

Buyers will be able to pick the Nexus 10 up in its 16GB and 32GB variants at a price of $399 (approx. Rs. 21,555) and $499 (approx. Rs. 26,960), respectively. Its release date for the US, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan has been scheduled for November 13, and these versions will be up for grabs through the Google Play Store.
