HCL Me G1

The HCL Me G1 is here at a price of Rs. 14,999, for all those looking out for a 9.7-inch tablet with support for 3G services. This device could bring some healthy competition to the market by giving the Zync Z1000 and Reliance’s new 3G Tab a run for their money.

So what does this new cookie from the India-based company have to offer? It is a 9.7-inch tablet which features a multi-touch capacitive IPS2 display, and offers a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. It renders support for full HD video playback and has a Mali 400 quad core GPU with 3D graphics to enhance the visual quality. The 0.3MP camera, placed above the screen, helps in video conferencing over 3G, while the 2MP rear-facing snapper records clips and captures stills.

The Ice Cream Sandwich OS runs the entire show for this particular tablet together with a dual core Cortex A9 processor operating at 1.2GHz. Customers will be able to download a wide-range of applications through the ME App Store using 3G and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Plus, there’s a microUSB port and Bluetooth 4.0 for hooking up devices and file transfers. Lastly, this slate comes with a 7000mAh Li-Poly battery to juice up the components mentioned above.

The price in India of the Me G1 tablet amounts to Rs. 14,999, as mentioned above. The company has also launched this particular slab across UAE earlier this month.
