Google LG Nexus 4

The Google LG Nexus 4 release date is slated to fall on November 13, while the device carries an affordable price tag of $300. The Jelly Bean-based smartphone comes in variants with 8GB and 16GB internal storage and will be accompanied by the Google Nexus 10 and the refreshed Nexus 7.

While it has only gone official now, the phone’s specifications have surfaced through Carphone Warehouse in the past. Outfitted with a 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPS multi-touch display of 1280 x 768p resolution, it takes advantage of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 as well as Zerogap Touch technology. Apart from 3G, the phone claims to be perfectly compliant with the HSPA+ network.

The Nexus 4 acquires multitasking properties from a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 1.5GHz quad core Krait CPUs in addition to 2GB of RAM. Snap-happy users can expect an 8MP rear-facing camera as well as a front-mounted 1.3MP webcam for capturing pictures, recording videos and engaging in video conferencing. It enables wireless data transfer through Bluetooth or NFC and coughs up the juice for talk time of close to 15.3 hours with a little assistance from a 2100mAh lithium-polymer battery.

The 8GB and 16GB Nexus 4 will set users back by $299 (approx. Rs. 16,140) and $349 (approx. Rs. 18,840), respectively. It will initially be made available in Spain, the US, Australia, the UK, France and Germany through Google Play. The handset will be put up for sale in Asia, Middle East, CIS, Europe and Central and South America later next month.
