The HTC Deluxe DLX is the name the Taiwanese manufacturer has given its 5-inch 1080p Android smartphone that’s expected to go live globally. What’s more, this leak has managed to render a few of the phone’s claimed official images as well.
Based on details provided by a source, the guys over at GSMArena are reporting that the smartphone will possess the HTC Deluxe DLX branding. In a previous leak, the Verizon-bound version was speculated to carry the DLX title. But it was soon announced to officially go about as the DNA. This phone is a US-specific variant of the J Butterfly that’s exclusive to Japan. The report also goes on to state that the leaked handset will be available in color options of black, brown and white.
If HTC does launch a global model of these devices, it’s most likely to retain the core hardware components. In this case, the phone will feature a quad core processor, the Snapdragon S4 Pro to be exact, with Adreno 320 graphics and most importantly a 1080p Super LCD 3 full HD touchscreen that spans 5-inches diagonally. 2GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of storage seem possible, but they could feature alterations. Apart from these, the addition of NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n along with an 8MP rear-facing camera, are highly possible, although 4G LTE might not make it to the list.
So we know how the HTC Deluxe DLX will look and we’ve got somewhat of an idea on what hardware it will pack in. What’s left is a price and a release date which are nowhere in sight. Well, the report does mention that additional information should surface on December 6. If not, we’ve got out hopes high that the upcoming MWC and CES events will fill up the missing blanks.
