Verizon HTC DLX snapshots surface on the web

Front

Pictures of a certain Verizon HTC DLX have been leaked on the web and it happens to be the first 5-inch device from the manufacturer to be made available in the US. DLX which is said to be pronounced as Deluxe, is another name for the J Butterfly that has recently been picked up by KDDI in Japan.

According to Android Central, who first laid its hands on the images, this device belongs to the One range and is the first from its series to hit the big red carrier. The Verizon logo on the front side and the 4G LTE one on the back reveal that the smartphone is compatible with the service provider’s fastest network. Considering that both the J Butterfly and the phone in question are blessed with 5-inch touchscreens, the latter appears to be the US variant of the former.

If the Verizon handset is indeed a version of the Japanese device, it is bound to flaunt similar specifications. So, prospective users can expect the Deluxe to operate with the assistance of the 1.5GHz quad core MDM9615 + APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro processor in addition to 2GB of RAM. The slab will most probably take advantage of the Android Jelly Bean platform tweaked with Sense 4+.

As for the screen, the smartphone may be lucky enough to employ a 1080p LCD 3 FHD multi-touch display. There may be an 8MP camera along with attributes like Beats Audio that are commonly found in HTC phones and a front-mounted webcam too. Complete with basic features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, it boasts of 16GB of onboard memory and an expansion slot to increase the storage space further using a microSD card.
