HTC J Butterfly dresses up in a pretty red cover

HTC J Butterfly

The HTC J Butterfly is the Taiwanese-based company’s newest baby to deck up in a pretty red colored shell. It has a 5-inch LCD 3 FHD touch panel offering full HD resolution. For now, this smartphone is only slated to hit Japan and so all we can do is wait for the manufacturer to announce its availability for other regions as well.

What’s new in on the menu for this particular handset? It offers a scoop of the latest Jelly Bean platform powered by a quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. On the memory front, the phone packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. Customers can always add extra hoarding space with the help of the built-in microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB additional storage. The back panel is fixed with an 8MP CMOS sensor just like the one seen in the One S.

Red And White Covers

Through this snapper, users can capture stills and record clips in a resolution of 1080p. There’s also a front-facing 2.1MP secondary CMOS shooter that allows face-to-face chats while on the move. Customers will have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and 4G LTE for web browsing as well as downloading and uploading content to social networking websites like Twitter and Facebook. Other than these, the HTC J Butterfly comes with Bluetooth 4.0 for pairing up devices and quick file transfers.

The HTC smartphone measures approximately 143mm x 9.1mm x 71mm and tips the scales at not more than 140 grams. The company claims that it is capable of resisting spills with its IPX5 rating and the guys over at CNET Asia point out that the chassis not dust-proof though. Last on the specifications sheet is a 2020mAh battery that juices up all the above mentioned components, satisfactory enough to run the phone through a day on a single charge.

Black

The company has not yet disclosed the price and release date details for the HTC J Butterfly. But the handset will be coming soon to Japan in black and white, apart from red.
