The Transcend JetFlash 760 USB 3.0 and JetFlash 600 USB 2.0 have been announced by the company just recently. These flash drives offer a whopping 128GB of memory space and promise to render a quick data transfer experience.
Each of the drives is claimed to be capable of stashing above 60,000 (jpg-formatted, 2MB each) pictures or over 32,000 (128Kbps quality, 4-minute each) mp3 songs. These conveniently portable peripherals can each house nearly 65 hours of DVD movies where an hour accounts for 2.25GB of memory. In terms of other specifications, the hardware components are said to transfer content at a ‘blazing fast’ rate.
Talking about the JetFlash 760, the exterior looks just as modest-sized as a regular flash drive’s. Its compact profile should make it easily portable. Owing to the integrated USB 3.0 technology, the data transfer speed reaches up to 80MB/s. To make the experience hassle free and comfortable, the Transcend drive is fitted with a retractable USB connector.
As for the JetFlash 600, it employs the USB 2.0 interface to proffer up to 32MB/s data transfer rates. Just like the other, this one sticks to a light and streamlined form factor. As an added advantage, the USB sticks offer users the opportunity to download the Transcend Elite data management software that provides features such as 256-bit AES file encryption, intelligent backup scheduling and so on.
The Transcend JetFlash 760 USB 3.0 and JetFlash 600 USB 2.0 price details for the US are out already. The 64GB and 128GB versions of the former are tagged at $89 (approx. Rs. 4,715) and $199 (approx. Rs. 10,550), respectively. The 128GB JetFlash 600 is marked at a price of $179 (approx. Rs. 9,490). Both the drives are offered in choices of 4GB to 128GB.
