The recently announced Datamation Power Pad 16 looks like an apt solution for all enterprise or family iPad, iPod, and iPhone users with charging concerns. The multi-port USB unit is capable of accommodating up to 16 of these iDevices at a time.

This gadget is made of 16 dedicated USB ports which can connect to the same number of handheld Apple devices, charging them all in a hassle-free manner. Designed to provide optimum power supply, approximately 2.1A, to each connected slate, music player, or smartphone, this seems like an apt solution to replace AC adapters and power strips.

To enable easy and convenient use, the system sports a compact form factor with dimensions measuring 6.75 x 3.75 x 2.2 inches. It can be placed over tables and other such surfaces, mounted on walls or even accommodated under desks as well as counters.

“The PowerPad 16 can be placed in a cabinet, cart or carrying case. It can also be mounted on a table, wall or under a counter,” conveyed Joe Mazza, Vice President of Datamation Systems. “It is perfect for tech centers, trade shows, travelling labs and training centers.”

According to the company, the Power Pad has already been put to use in retail environments. In addition to iPads, iPods and iPhones, this system can also be used to charge all USB powered devices which are compatible with a regular Apple USB-connected AC adapter. The developers convey that consumers can also expect a similar unit for other devices charging through a customary or universal USB.

The Datamation Power Pad 16 release date and price have not been revealed yet.
