SanDisk recently unveiled six new retail devices meant for the purpose of storage of digital multimedia content. The line-up includes a Memory Vault, the Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I Card, the Mobile Ultra microSDXC Card, Cruzer Fit and Cruzer Switch USB drives, and the ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.0 Reader/Writer. Additionally, it has also introduced the SanDisk SecureAccess Software.
The SecureAccess software is meant to protect sensitive data on USB drives. Offering up to 2GB secure space, this software restricts data access by creating a password protected private vault.
“Our flash storage solutions help consumers capture more photos, load their mobile apps faster, share exciting moments with friends and preserve their memories for generations to come,” said Bob O’Keefe, vice president, retail marketing, SanDisk.
The SanDisk Memory Vault, described as the photo vault of the digital age, can preserve photos for up to 100 years. Incorporated with the Chronolock technology, this Memory Vault is available in memory capacities of 8GB and 16GB for a price of $49.99 (approx Rs. 2, 388) and $89.99 (approx Rs. 4. 300) respectively.
The SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I Card, available from 8GB to 64GB capacity, is said to offer the fastest writing performance as compared to any other SD card in the world. Termed ideal for UHS-enabled cameras used by imaging enthusiasts, the card features a reading speed of up to 95MB/sec making it easy to transfer photos quickly. The price for these UHS-I cards start at $109.99 (approx Rs. 5, 255).
Designed to suit the needs of smartphones and tablets, the SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC Card offers class 6 performance which is required to shoot full HD videos. With transfer speeds of up to 30MB per second, the card can be picked in memory capacities ranging from 4GB to 64GB with prices starting at $24.99(approx Rs. 1, 194).
The ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.0 Reader/Writer is outfitted with four card slots and offers backward compatibility with devices supporting interface version 2.0. It can be picked for a price of $49.99(approx Rs. 2, 388). Uniquely designed in the size of a dime, the Cruzer Fit will suit the needs of users who require storage capacity of 4GB to 16GB. The price range starts from $24.99. The Cruzer Switch features a cap-less design and varies in a memory range from 2GB to 32GB. It starts at a price of $19.99(approx Rs. 955).
This new range of products introduced by SanDisk is now available on the official website. It can be picked from local retailers starting next month.
