The Verizon HTC 8X release date and price details have been disclosed and the device will be available for purchase by Thanksgiving, that’s towards the end of next month. Besides this, the network provider has also picked up the Samsung Ativ Odyssey and Nokia Lumia 822.
The carrier is offering the HTC device in shades of blue, black as well as red and the latter two colors are exclusive to Verizon Wireless. The 8X with dimensions of 132.5 x 66.2 x 10.12 millimeters, supports a high definition 720p screen on the front panel. This LCD 2 display is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and provides a multi-touch real estate of 4.3 inches. Face-to-face video calling is possible on the move, thanks to a 2.1MP 1080p front-mounted camera. Another 8MP snapper lays claim over the flip side to facilitate capturing HD still shots and 1080p videos.
The internal working of the smartphone in question is carried out under the supervision of the 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm S4 processor and 1GB of RAM. Based on the Windows Phone 8 OS, this 16GB mobile handset is compatible with micro SIM cards. There’s Beats Audio and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack for connecting various audio peripherals. It draws power from a 1800mAh battery and features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi as well as NFC.
The 8X will carry a price tag of $199.99 (approx. Rs. 10,795) with qualifying Verizon Wireless data plans and a two-year contract.
