LG Nexus 4 promotional photographs leaked

LG Nexus 4

The LG Nexus 4 is under the spotlight yet again, this time with its promotional photographs showing up at a Carphone Warehouse retail outlet in the UK. Prior to this, there were reports about Google planning to reveal this handset along with a few other devices, including the Nexus 7 3G and the Nexus 10, at an event in New York.

The showcase was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy, but there are chances of the company unveiling the smartphone sometime soon. As mentioned by Android Authority, these photographs were taken by xda-developers user adamski123, revealing that the retailer has already displayed advertisements for the forthcoming handset. Well, this is definitely not the first time that the distributor has knowingly or unknowingly spilled the beans about the particulars of this phone. Recently, the device was spotted on its online store, but it was pulled off a few hours later.

Following this, there were reports about the vendor displaying fake images, stating that the smartphone would not come with Android 4.2, but instead run Jelly Bean. It is visible from the photos that this smartphone rides on Android 4.1 and packs in a quad core Snapdragon S4 processor operating at 1.5GHz. An 8MP rear-facing camera is also thrown into the mix with an LED flash for capturing stills in dim light. Weighing 139 grams, the handset seems to be capable of delivering 12 hours of talktime on a single charge.

If not for anything, the LG Nexus 4 photos indicate that it will be available for free at £31 (approx. Rs. 2,690) a month on contract basis, and buyers will also be able to pick up the SIM free version at a retail price of £389.95 (approx. Rs. 33,800).
