LG Nexus 4 price and release date unofficially disclosed by Carphone Warehouse

Apart from the LG Nexus 4 release date, Carphone Warehouse has revealed the price information of the phone which is yet to be announced officially. According to its product page on the UK e-retailer’s website, the smartphone will start shipping on October 30.

Engadget happened to spot the next generation Nexus phone on Xataka Mobile. It will be deployed with the latest Android Jelly Bean platform v4.2 and acquires multitasking properties from the 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. As was speculated by multiple reports that were doing the rounds on the web, the Google-branded handset sports a 4.7-inch multi-touch LCD display that delivers 1280 x 768p resolution and pixel density of 320ppi.

Furthermore, the South Korean manufacturer has coated the screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 in order to withstand scrapes and scratches in case of accidental drops. An 8MP camera sits on the back panel of the Nexus gadget and boasts of possessing features like LED flash, digital zoom, auto focus, 1080p video recording capability, Instant Upload function and 360-degree panorama amongst others.

A front-mounted webcam has also been thrown into the mix to facilitate face-to-face video calling over the web. The sleek device measures not more than 9.1mm in thickness and needless to say, offers access to the Google Play store. The black-colored Nexus 4 comes with NFC and is likely to feature Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Slated to hit store shelves on October 30, the price of the Nexus 4 from Google has been revealed by Vodafone and O2 in the UK. It can be picked up for free with a two-year customer agreement and qualifying data plans. It will also be available with some other schemes.
