Sprint iPad Mini and 4th generation iPad release date goes official for mid-November

iPad Mini

In a race to stock up the two iPads, Sprint seems to be the first in line to announce the iPad Mini and 4th generation iPad release date for mid-November. Prospective buyers will be able to select from a wide-range of data plans for browsing the web over the carrier’s 4G LTE network.

First up is the new smaller iPad that measures 7.87” x 5.3” x 0.28” in dimensions and weighs not more than 0.69 pounds. It features a 7.9-inch LED backlit multi-touch IPS display with a resolution of 1024 x 768p and a pixel density of 163ppi. The tablet runs the iOS 6 platform, and carries an A5 dual core processor along with a 16.3-watt-hour Li-ion battery that’s capable of delivering up to 10 hours of web browsing. Features like a 1.2MP FaceTime HD camera, a 5MP AF iSight sensor and a Lightning connector are included as well.

Next in line is the 9.7-inch 4th generation iPad with Retina display that sports a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic layer and offers a resolution of 2048 x 1536p. Armed with a dual core A6X processor that has quad core graphics, it rides on the iOS 6 operating system just like the slate mentioned above. Plus, there’s a 1.2MP FaceTime HD front camera and a 5MP AF iSight rear snapper for capturing images and recording videos. A 42.5-watt-hour rechargeable Li-poly battery stays in place for roughly 10 hours of Internet browsing and video or music playback.

To sum it all up, the iPad Mini and 4th generation will hit stores by mid-November, right in time for the holiday season.
