If rumors doing the rounds are to be believed, the Google LG Nexus India release date might just fall by the end of next month. Moreover, there are even speculations about the company having plans to unveil the handset at an event that’s scheduled for October 29.

In an interview with IBNLive, Amit Gujral, head of Mobile Product Planning at LG confirmed that Google will be announcing the upcoming smartphone also known as the LG Nexus 4, on October 29. Adding to it, he stated that the handset will hit stores in markets across India somewhere by the end of November, which means that it is very likely to make it right in time for the festive season in the country.

So for those who have already placed the phone on the top of their shopping list, Gujral has spilled a few beans with regards to its specifications. The smartphone is likely to flaunt a 4.7-inch IPS touch panel with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. Plus, it will make space for a 1.5GHz quad core processor and 2GB of RAM as well. Potential buyers can get their hopes high for 8GB or 16GB of internal memory, but without a built-in microSD card slot for additional hoarding capacity.

The next version of Android also known as Key Lime Pie will be a cherry on the top by running the show on this particular handset. LG will certainly not be the only one to come up with a Google-branded device, keeping in mind that HTC has been rumored to launch the Droid Incredible X or One X as the Nexus 5. Samsung won’t be staying back either as there are reports that a 10-inch Nexus tablet is in the works.

So for now, all we can expect is that the India release date for the LG Nexus should be fixed for the end of November.
