Sprint LG Optimus G release date revealed, pre-order begins November 1

LG Optimus G

With the announcement of the Sprint LG Optimus G release date, the phone will come to the operator bringing along several high-end features that stand to rival some of the established contenders such as the Samsung Galaxy S3. Those who avail of the carrier’s services will have access to 4G LTE data with the smartphone.

The device itself comes with a 13MP rear-facing main camera which tags along several advanced attributes including Time Catch Shot, Smart Shutter and Low Light Shot Noise Reduction. There is even a front-facing 1.3MP snapper for video conferencing and such.

A WXGA IPS Plus display of 4.7 inches throws out images and video at a resolution of 1280 x 768. Plus, with the dual screen dual play feature, mirroring between the phone and a TV is possible and users can even chose to display different content on each screen.

The smartphone runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and has a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor taking care of things. It can boast of QSlide Function, LG QuickMemo, Live Zooming and Icon Personalizer, in addition to 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G/4G LTE mobile hotspot capability.

For those with environmental concerns, the device’s casing is made from 50 percent recycled plastics while the charger it comes with has a no-load consumption rating of just 0.3W. It is also ULE Platinum certified.
