Red AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 breaking out on July 29

Red AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3

After the popular pebble blue and marble white versions, the garnet red AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 has walked down the aisle. Fans can get their hands on this smartphone via retail outlets by July 15.

Just a while ago, the network provider had launched the ICS-based Samsung Galaxy S3 across the US. In the coming weeks, potential buyers will be able to pick it up drenched in garnet red. Of course, the pebble blue and marble white options will still be available for grabs. Customers can pre-order this brightly colored handset via the carrier’s online store from July 15 onwards.

“As you may already know, AT&T will be carrying the Galaxy S3 in an exclusive Garnet Red color,” confirmed Kari Tillman in a post on the official AT&T Consumer blog. “Beginning this Sunday, July 15, customers will be able to pre-order it at http://www.att.com/galaxysiii or at any AT&T company-owned retail store. You can also purchase it in any AT&T company-owned retail store beginning July 29. This fun, new color option combined with the nation’s largest 4G network makes the Galaxy S III a great choice for AT&T customers.”

A quick refresher of the S3’s specs – the phone draws power from a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor that has replaced the quad core Exynos CPU. A 4.8” HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen sits pretty on its 5.38mm x 2.78mm x 0.34mm build. A 1.9MP secondary sensor facilitates video calling, while an 8MP main camera features zero-lag shutter speed along with highlights like face-recognition tag and a best photo feature.

The carrier has packed this smartphone with additional utilities like AT&T Address Book, AT&T Navigator, AT&T Messages and myAT&T that may require separate subscriptions. Users can take advantage of the Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G LTE connectivity to browse the internet. Along with built-in applications like S Suggest and AllShare, Samsung’s ChatOn app can also be accessed to connect with friends.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 price stands at the same $199.99 (approx. Rs. 11,030), since it will be sporting just a major color change. The release date points to July 29 and the said deal will include a two-year agreement.
