The Acer TravelMate P243, a fresh member of the TM series, has set foot in India with tight security features. It claims to take away those worries related to losing laptops and having the data accessed by unauthorized users.
This device features Acer’s collection of security and management solutions that include technologies like Acer ProShield Security, eRecovery Manager and Acer Office Manager. The first protects the stored content from being accessed in cases where the gadget is misplaced or stolen, while the recovery tool duplicates onboard files. Users can delete unwanted content through the onboard File Shredder utility.

On the hardware front, the Acer TravelMate P243 draws power from Intel’s 3rd generation i5 CPU. It wears a 14-inch HD LED backlit screen that apparently cuts down on roughly 30% of the power consumed, when judged against regular displays. Up to 750GB HDD space and 8GB RAM are laid out on the table.
There is up to Nvidia GeForce GT 630M graphics to proffer users an enhanced visual experience. The gadget is embedded with an HDMI and a USB 3.0 port that extend connectivity, and it also supports Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet. It flaunts the company’s SignalUp wireless technology which claims to pick up signals efficiently. Additionally, the notebook comes with EPEAT Gold compliance to contribute to its eco-friendly features.
