Nokia 808 PureView to be launched on June 13 in India

The flagship Symbian smartphone with a 41MP camera sensor, the Nokia 808 PureView is gearing up for its India release that is slated to take place on June 13. The device has been making headlines for quite some time now, be it for a countdown page or a ‘story within a story’ contest.

Although the Finnish manufacturer had announced earlier last month that it will hit store shelves in India in May itself, it obviously failed to do so. And the countdown, which was believed to be for the phone’s launch, was actually for the aforementioned contest that is slated to go on for another two days. The end of this contest is most likely to be on the day the smartphone is launched in the country, that is, June 13. Also, the company has already confirmed that the date for the launch event is set for two days from now.

The PureView is currently up for pre-booking in the country as well as select regions in Europe where it is expected to start shipping from June 21. This device had first flaunted its advanced imaging capabilities at the MWC back in February and the company had also organized an event in India to discuss its internal working. Those who are not put off by the fact that it runs the Symbian platform, can head to the official website and reserve their handset.

The Nokia 808 PureView release date is June 13 as mentioned above. Its price is expected to be around Rs. 29,000 as we had reported earlier.
