It seems like the LG Optimus Vu is not the only device looking forward to take on the Galaxy Note, with the Panasonic Eluga Power having joined the competition too. Recently, the company had announced the Eluga phone for Europe and now its 5-inch sequel has been constructed for this continent. The handset is up for pre-order through Clove in the UK.
The Panasonic Eluga Power employs the 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, to let users launch multiple applications at once. Based on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich mobile platform, it sports a multi-touch LCD 1280 x 720p screen, spanning 5 inches. The sleek smartphone measures 9.6mm in thickness and tips the scale at 133 grams. Besides a front facing webcam, the company has also thrown in an 8MP primary camera, possessing attributes like auto focus, 8x digital zoom and 1080p HD video recording amongst others.

All in a slim, pocket-friendly and stylish smartphone.â€
Users have an option to expand the 8GB onboard memory up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. Powered by a 1800mAh battery, the Panasonic handset apparently takes 30 minutes to reach 50 percent charging capacity. This NFC enabled device also adheres to the International standard IP57 to make it capable of withstanding water and dust.
The Panasonic Eluga Power price and availability have been disclosed. It can be pre-ordered for £478 (approx. Rs. 37,610) through Clove UK, and will start shipping towards the end of next month.
