After a long delay, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has at last made it to the US via Sprint stores. Fans across the country can now get their hands on the 32GB version as well as the 16GB one clubbed with the carrier’s services.

The company had earlier planned to release the device in the US by June 21 and make it available at both online and retail stores. But this promise was broken as the carrier was unable to catch up with its rising demand coupled with a supposed shortage. However, the 16GB ones were still being distributed to pre-order customers.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is equipped with the latest Ice Cream Sandwich OS and it runs on a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that has replaced the quad core Exynos processor. The much talked about 4.8-inch Super AMOLED multi-touch screen dominates the front panel along with a 1.9MP snapper that can be used for video conferencing. Another prominent feature is its 8MP camera that is fitted onto its back panel.

Internet buffs can access the Sprint Zone for phone tips, news, popular apps and much more. Features like Sprint TV, GPS Navigation, Nascar Sprint Cup Mobile, Sprint NBA Mobile and Sprint Music Plus are also included within the zone. Although the phone supports 4G LTE, Sprint customers will have to wait a while to access this network as the carrier hasn’t yet launched its 4G LTE services. But it appears that Sprint may be introducing this facility sometime this month.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 price via Sprint stores is tagged at $199.99 (approx. Rs. 11,120) for the 16GB version and $249.99 (approx. Rs. 13,905) for the 32GB one. They can be picked up with a two-year service agreement, it has been revealed on Sprint’s official community blog.
