A certain Korea based manufacturer is going all out for the Samsung Galaxy S III US launch, but those who pre-ordered the phone in the country may be unable to join the celebrations just yet. It is now available through T-Mobile, but AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular customers will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the smartphone.

A couple of days back, Sprint informed its users about the delay in the shipments of the handset through a post on the Sprint Community blog. The carrier in question has blamed Samsung for the delay as the latter has been unable to provide the required number of units owing to ‘overwhelming demand’ around the globe. But the 32GB version seems to be the only one hit by the shortage as 16GB S IIIs are being dispatched to those who reserved them in advance.

“Once again, we are putting the ‘Next Big Thing’ in consumers’ hands. The Galaxy S III introduces a completely new way of sharing and socializing that no other mobile phone can,” commented Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Telecommunications.

The service providers including AT&T, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular will begin shipping the device over the course of the next few weeks. To refresh the memory, the Samsung Galaxy S III in the US gives the quad core Exynos processor a miss and instead employs the dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for LTE connectivity, with 2GB RAM under the hood. It sports a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED multi-touch display and an 8MP camera on the rear panel. A front-mounted 1.9MP facilitates video conferencing on the move.

The Samsung Galaxy S III price in the US through T-Mobile stands at $279.99 and $329.99 for the 16GB and 32GB variants, respectively. It is currently available in both marble white and pebble blue shades through this carrier.
