Samsung Galaxy S III shipping date pushed back by Clove in the UK

It turns out that the pebble blue Samsung Galaxy S III is not the only one unable to cope up with rising demand, the white variant is just as susceptible. Clove UK has announced through its official blog that the shipments which were slated to arrive on May 30 have now been delayed.

A post on the e-retailer’s blog informs prospective users that the white Galaxy S III units will not be knocking at their doors before June 1. The blue version is expected to arrive during the week commencing June 5, but Clove isn’t very sure as it still hasn’t received a confirmation. This news about the rescheduling of shipping dates doesn’t come as a surprise, considering that just yesterday we reported about the supposed shortage in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Persian Gulf countries.

Even though the retailer in question is a little unsure about the exact release date of the blue hued third generation Galaxy S smartphone, it hasn’t stopped taking pre-orders. The scenario in India and a few other regions is somewhat different as Samsung has completely done away with the option to even book the blue handset.

To refresh the memory, this handset tags along the Ice Cream Sandwich platform and the 1.4GHz quad core Samsung Exynos Quad processor. Its 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED screen is accompanied by an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 1.9MP front-facing webcam. Pop up play, Smart alert, Direct call, S Voice and Smart stay are just some of the many features of this curvaceous device.

The 16GB Samsung Galaxy S III price through Clove in the UK is tagged at £499.99 (approx. Rs. 43,620), inclusive of taxes.
