Red Nintendo 3DS Bundle price announced, coming on Black Friday

The Flame Red Nintendo 3DS Bundle has geared up to make its debut on Black Friday, for a price of $170. This limited edition handheld gaming console has been pre-loaded with Super Mario 3D Land that costs $39.99, when bought separately.

The company reveals that it has already sold over 6 million units of the 3DS in the US, ever since it was unveiled in March last year. This device with dimensions of 5.3 x 2.9 x 0.8 inches, tips the scales at not more than 8 ounces when weighed along with its battery and stylus. Its 3.53-inch wide-screen LCD display of 800 x 240p resolution, allocates 400 pixels to each eye in order to allow gamers to view vivid 3D images without special 3D glasses.

In addition to the upper display, the Nintendo device is the proud owner of a multi-touch screen spanning 3.02 inches which renders visuals in 320 x 240p resolution. It boasts of employing an inner shooter and two outer cameras which are responsible for capturing 3D pictures and videos. Each of these single focus snappers of 640 x 480p resolution utilizes CMOS sensors.

The Wi-Fi-enabled handheld console has been deployed with a motion sensor and a gyro sensor and sports a microphone. It has even embedded with a circle pad, control pad, start key and some other buttons. Besides the pre-loaded title, players can download multiple other games via the Nintendo eShop or watch videos on Nintendo Video.

Furthermore, it in integrated with stereo speakers on either side of the top display. The gadget is also accompanied by a 3.94-inch telescopic stylus and draws power from a lithium-ion battery pack. It takes about 3.5 hours to charge completely and coughs up the juice for 3 – 5 hours for 3DS software, while its playing time is of 5 – 8 hours on Nintendo DS software.

The limited edition flame red Nintendo 3DS Bundle carries a price tag of $169.99 (approx. Rs. 9,365) and will be available starting from November 23.
