Gamers in the UK will now have two more color options to purchase their Nintendo 3DS handhelds in. Adding to the existing color range of cosmos black, aqua blue and metallic red, coral pink and ice white will take the tally of available hues to five when they release on February 10, 2012.
These two colors of the handheld were earlier available only as part of game bundles. While the coral pink 3DS came packed with Nintendogs + Cats, the ice white colored device was offered along with Super Mario 3D Land. As a lot of fans might know, the 3DS is famous for its 3D visuals which can be experienced without the need to wear special glasses. Moreover, using the camera on this device, gamers can even capture 3D photographs and record 3D video clips for later viewing.
Apart from access to an array of games on its digital delivery service named the eShop, this handheld also proffers users with compatibility for games that are released for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi devices. It was only in November last year that a pair of 3DS bundles were launched in the US, for two titles – Super Mario 3D Land or The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
In July 2011, the Japanese manufacturer had decided to slash the price of this device down to $169.99. Perhaps, this is what eventually resulted in the handheld selling more than four million units in the country last year.
According to the company, the Nintendo 3DS will be made available in both coral pink and ice white colors on February 10, 2012.
