The Canon EOS M camera will make its first appearance in India with all new EF-M 22mm f/2 STM and EF-M 18-55mm f/ 3.5-5.6 IS STM kit lenses. However, the company hasn’t yet disclosed the price and release date details.

For those new to the device, it is equipped with an 18MP APS-C-sized CMOS sensor and a Digic 5 image processor. In terms of sensitivity, the camera delivers an ISO range of 100 to 12800 that should be good enough to capture shots in different lighting conditions. Users can expand the range right up to ISO 25600 via the H mode for better results. Another prominent highlight included within the camera is the always active Movie Servo AF mode that constantly keeps the main object in focus. It comprises of selectable options such as Face Detection + Tracking AF, FlexiZone Multi and FlexiZone Single.

Built around dimensions of 108.6mm x 66.5mm x 32.3mm, the Canon EOS M digital camera tips the scales at 262 grams. To capture fast moving objects, the device offers a Hybrid CMOS AF that renders quick focus speeds. A 3-inch Clear View LCD monitor II multi-touch display protected by a smudge-resistant coating is embedded onto the chassis for viewing purposes. Users will also be able to carry out gesture inputs such as pinch-to-zoom and swipe. Features like the Handheld Night Scene mode and the HDR Backlight Control mode are included as well.

As mentioned above, the Canon EOS M price and release date details for India are still under wraps. It will be up for grabs drenched in black, metallic silver, white and red shades.
