Sprint Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE coming soon with a QWERTY delight

Photon Q 4G LTE

The Sprint Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE is the carrier’s first 4G LTE smartphone that tags along a full QWERTY keyboard and international capabilities. This ICS-based handset is also the latest version of the company’s Photon 4G that was released around a year ago.

On the hardware front, the device houses a dual core processor that ticks at 1.5GHz. While a 4.3-inch ColorBoost capacitive display sits pretty on the front, the flip side dons an 8MP camera that is capable of delivering full HD video recording. It even offers an option to upload captured shots directly to Google+. For conference calls or video chats, users will have a front-facing snapper that proffers HD clarity.

“Motorola Photon Q will be the first 4G LTE device with a QWERTY keyboard and world phone capabilities to join the Sprint line-up,” exclaimed David Owens, vice president – Product Development, Sprint. “We want to make sure our 4G LTE handset portfolio has the full complement of choices for our customers. Adding a product with both a physical keyboard and world mode makes this a great addition to the Sprint family of devices. This is a dynamic smartphone that customers will really enjoy using and we are pleased to have Motorola as part of our 4G LTE device portfolio.”

In terms of connectivity, the Photon Q supports HDMI that can be used to view content on an external display. Since the device is 4G LTE-enabled, users can employ the carrier’s 4G data services for an enhanced browsing experience. Apart from NFC, there is the company’s Smartactions application that automatically schedules daily tasks, silences incoming calls and much more.

The Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE Sprint price and release date details will be disclosed in the upcoming weeks.
