Cyber-shot DSC-RX1

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX1 brings in a compact form factor that’s said to be ideal for both travel and street photography. It measures 113.3mm x 65.4mm x 69.6mm in dimensions and tips the scales at roughly 482 grams after including the battery and memory card.

Equipped with a 24.3MP full-frame Exmor CMOS sensor, the camera packs in a Carl Zeiss Sonnar T 35mm f2 lens that provides a Macro mode for capturing objects within a minimum focus of 20cm. In terms of sensitivity, it offers an ISO range of 100 to 25600. Users will be able to bring it down to ISO 50 through the expanded mode or take it all the way up to ISO 102400 via Multi Frame Noise Reduction.

Coupled with the Bionz engine, the device is capable of delivering full-resolution burst shooting at up to 5fps. It provides a dedicated lens ring to control the aperture and focus as well as a DSLR-style Focus mode dial that enables users to switch between settings. Apart from the Quick Navi option, there is a series of other refinements including the MF Assist and Peaking functions.

Its fresh Multi Interface Shoe is compatible with an optional flash, optical or electronic viewfinder and clip-on LCD.
