The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 camera seems to have the potential of generating a following across India by being the first in its series to sport a 1.0-type 20.2MP sensor coupled with an f1.8 lens. Cast in an aluminum body, the device features a lightweight form factor with a ‘luxurious’ appearance.
As mentioned above, one of the prominent highlights of the Sony camera is its 20.2MP 1.0-type Exmor CMOS sensor which is equipped with various enhanced imaging attributes including Auto Portrait Framing which is also seen in A-mount and E-mount devices from the company. It packs in a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens that delivers up to 3.6x optical zoom and a maximum aperture of f1.8.
For quick image settings, there is a control ring placed around the lens body which can be used to alter exposure levels, set picture effects as well as zoom level and much more.
