Another addition to the Lumix G series of shooters, the Panasonic Lumix GF5 interchangeable lens system camera renders good quality images through its compact chassis, reveals the company. Besides a wide range of shooting options, the imaging device has been deployed with a 12.1MP Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine amongst others.

The camera is compliant with the Micro Four Thirds standard and comes with built-in flash. Similar to its predecessors, the device features contrast auto focus for higher accuracy, while the Light Speed AF facilitates capturing fast moving objects. Its 3-inch touchscreen lets photographers compose images and preview filter effects using the Live View mode, before clicking a picture. This digital snapper is also capable of recording 1920 x 1080 60i HD videos in the AVCHD format.

“Panasonic expects the Lumix GF5 to please photo enthusiasts and budding photographers that are looking for the next step from the traditional point-and-shoot camera. The camera’s host of shooting options makes photography even more artistic, yet easy for users of any experience level. The powerful Venus Engine and sensor allows the camera to achieve exceptional photo quality in a range of shooting environments,” commented Christopher Rice, Senior Product Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Consumer Marketing Company of North America.
