In addition to the Lumix DMC-3D1, another shooter from the company dubbed Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1 compact system camera will hit store shelves in December this year. The camera aimed at professionals as well as amateurs, crams in tools to deliver high image quality and speed through its compact form factor.

Another addition to the G series shooters, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1 compact system camera employs a 169.01MP Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine. The portable device features full area focusing as well as Contrast AF to render higher accuracy and resolution while helping with noise reduction. Additionally, the Light Speed AF and the AFF (AF Flexible) mode along with the Touch AF, control makes focusing quick and simple.

The integrated 3-inch LCD touchscreen executes functions such as releasing the shutter or selecting a part on the AF area through a single touch on the display. Besides, it is also embedded with control buttons, a mode dial and function buttons. Furthermore, the Level Guage detects the angle of view, while hitting the Function button adjusts exposure. The camera allowing zoom operations through a touch on the LCD, is said to be apt for beginners too as it comes with iA and iA Plus modes. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1 compact system camera is designed to provide a long battery life and is equipped with a Dust Reduction System. Moreover, it supports 14 MFT lenses including a standard zoom lens, telephoto zoom lens, single focal length lens, wide-angle lens and more.

The black and silver colored Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1 compact system camera will be available in December. The DMC-GX1-X with the LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 ASPH/Power O.I.S (H-PS14042) lens is priced at $949.99 (approx. Rs. 46,645), the DMC-GX1-K with the 14-42 standard zoom is priced at $799.99 (approx. Rs. 39,280), while only the body carries a price tag of $699.99 (approx. Rs. 34,370).
