After being released in the U.S., the Amazon Kindle Touch 3G is ready for its tour in Europe starting April 27. It’s being introduced in both the Wi-Fi only and 3G flavors.

The Kindle Store to which Amazon devices allow access, hosts a collection of content inclusive of magazines, newspapers and internationally acclaimed titles. Moreover, above 1 million books are apparently available free of charge to users of Kindle. Though the eReader sports the regular 6-inch screen, its weight is cited to be 8% lighter than the predecessor’s. It can house up to 3,000 books, giving readers the opportunity to access their library while on the move. Additionally, the battery life can survive up to 2 months with wireless off. In other words, it allows usage for roughly half an hour each day for nearly 2 months.

“We’ve seen great excitement over our new line of Kindle e-readers and we’re thrilled to be able to offer Kindle Touch 3G to customers worldwide. “Customers love the electronic ink display that reads like paper, with no glare, even in bright daylight, the unparalleled convenience of 3G for downloading books in less than 60 seconds, and with our new touch technology and a unique combination of features you won’t find anywhere else – Text-to-Speech and our new technologies EasyReach and X-Ray – we’ve made it easier than ever to read and explore Kindle with one hand,” added Limp.

As an added advantage, the Amazon Kindle Touch 3G can be held in one hand as it does not necessitate swiping any more. Because turning pages should be as easy as tapping the screen with a finger. The free wireless delivery enables access to books without the need for a PC. The 3G network offered by this gadget is free of cost, which means searching for Wi-Fi hotspots or wireless setups should be a thing of the past. This feature works globally with no contract or monthly payments.
