Air Clicker arrives as finger camera concept

Air Clicker

While the enhancement of cameras in smartphones gave rise to the breed of mobile photographers, the Air Clicker concept now arrives to give a peek into the future of what many may come to be referred as ‘finger photographers’. Yes, it may probably be difficult to imagine this notion at first, but the design by Yeon Su Kim incorporates two simple modules for capturing photos and videos.

Seeming to take inspiration from Apple, the concept brings down the camera to its most necessary attributes. And by this, we are only referring to the camera lens and the shutter button. A post on Yanko Design reveals, the Clicker consists of a band with a camera lens that has to be worn on the thumb and incorporates an on/off switch while the shutter button can be adorned on the forefinger.

Now, the forefinger band has been integrated with a tension sensor so that when these fingers are bent in a ‘shutter pressing’ position, it senses the tension and automatically captures images. This being a Bluetooth enabled-device, allows the snaps to immediately be saved on the wirelessly connected smartphone.

Additionally, when a video is to be recorded, users have to simply curve their fingers as if holding a video camera for live motion to be captured. This footage too can immediately be viewed on the smartphone or the handset to keep a tab on what’s being recording.

As interesting as the Air Clicker concept may sound, it may probably be expected to take quite a long time before it materializes to give birth to an another breed of photographers.
