Previously announced in 2009, the Finis AquaPulse heart rate monitor finally hits the road. The device is said to be an audible heat rate monitor that allows users to hear their heartbeat. Essential for swimmers undergoing heart rate training, the gadget claims to enable them to make the most out of their workout.
With its waterproof design, the device features a Lithium-Ion battery having a life span of eight hours which can be charged over USB. After attaching the heart rate monitor to the goggle strap and the rubber clip onto the earlobe, the gadget uses an infrared sensor to monitor the heartbeat. Further, the information collected is transmitted to the swimmer in real-time using Bone Conduction technology.
