Looxcie designs wearable camcorder

Looxcie Wearable Camcorder

When enjoying a birthday celebration, the one who is capturing valuable moments on their camera seems to be losing out on all the fun. To free users from the fatiguing camera handling, Looxcie has just designed a new Looxcie wearable camcorder that records everything that they are viewing while still being involved in those spontaneous actions.

The adjustable device fits contentedly onto users’ ear and clearly records every action where users are present. From impulsive smiles to humorous incidents, users will now never miss a thing since the portable camcorder is always on and eliminates the need of pressing the record button. If an astonishing moment occurs, owners can simply press the instant clip button that captures the last 30 seconds of videos and automatically store it as a permanent clip.

“Looxcie frees people to remain engaged in what they’re doing rather than be burdened by the technology. We built Looxcie with the goal of freeing people to participate in life’s moments as they happen, and to share these excerpts on the go, rather than wait until after the event and excitement has passed,” enthused Romulus Pereira, CEO, Looxcie.

Users can utilize the chic Looxcie wearable camcorder’s email option to instantly share videos and images. The latest device can be programmed and entered with an email address so that when users long-press the instant clip button, the recorded clip will be sent to the pre-determined email address. Claiming to be the first wearable camcorder, the offering provides four hours of continuous video use. Additionally, users can communicate via Bluetooth for up to six hours of continuous talktime when the video capability is off.

Further, Looxcie smartphone application enables users to transform their handset into a viewfinder, remote control and editing tool for creating clips of up to 30 minutes in length, and then storing them in the MP4 format. This lightweight device tips the scale at just 28 grams and works with most of the Android 2.0 and higher smartphones. What’s more, it is expected to lend support to the forthcoming smartphone operating systems.

Besides, PC or Mac owners can upload their captured videos via the USB connector in order to archive, view, edit or share. Major highlights subsume Bluetooth Class 2 (2.5mW) for up to 10 meters range, 15fps, HVGA resolution camera, ROHS compliant manufacturer, DSP optimized for clear and crisp audio, and 480mAh Li Po battery.

The Looxcie wearable camcorder is now up for grabs on Amazon’s online store for $199 (approx Rs. 9,099).
