The HD Hero wearable camera crafted by GoPro sprung into the news sometime around April this year. GoPro has now revealed that the HD Hero wearable camera is available for the contestants participating in the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge.

The camera will let contestants capture high-quality racing footage that fans can catch in action later. The camera flaunts the ability to shoot HD videos in 1080p resolutions. Apart from recording 720p content at a speed of 60fps, it allows viewers to enjoy every aspect of the captured video in slow motion as well.

“We’re excited that the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge has chosen to upgrade their Racing Mustangs with the HD Hero camera. This series is so competitive and the cars look and sound so cool,” explained Nicholas Woodman, Chief Executive Officer and founder, GoPro.

Additionally, the small size of this durable camera makes it possible to fit it comfortably into almost any crevice. Providing onboard camera footage for the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the second time, GoPro has received the title of the ‘Official Onboard Camera for the challenge.

“It will be great to watch the racing from inside the cockpit and even outside on the splitters and bumpers thanks to the ease of mounting the HD Hero anywhere on the car. The Ford Racing Mustang Challenge captured in glorious GoPro HD thanks to the series’ decision to GoPro. We can’t wait to see it,” added Woodman.

Adventure lovers can also grab their GoPro HD Motorsports Hero package that includes mounts and accessories for recording their memorable experiences. The ensemble is available through GoPro’s online portal.
