Simmtronics XPad Freedom voice calling tablet will cost you Rs 14,000

If you do not mind buying a Simmtronics tablet for Rs 14,000, then here’s the XPad Freedom that lets you make voice calls and take advantage of features that Android has to offer. You can find it listed on Flipkart, but the e-retailer has not mentioned anything about its arrival, except that it is coming soon.

The latest contender in the affordable tablet segment offers a multi-touch real estate of 7.8 inches and the capacitive screen has a resolution of 1024 x 768p resolution. This gadget not only lets you make voice calls, but also supports two GSM cards at the same time. You can expect 3G data speed as well. A 5MP camera has been fitted on the rear side, while a 2MP one rests on the front panel.

It binges on the Android Jelly Bean platform, version 4.2.2 to be precise and relies on a quad core processor that ticks at 1.2GHz to maintain smooth multitasking at all times. The chipset is accompanied by a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU to ensure enhanced graphics reproduction at all times.

1GB of RAM has been tossed to make sure you do not experience lags when navigating between applications, while 8GB of onboard memory is what you get to hoard digital content. In case the latter is not sufficient, you can increase it further by up to 32GB using a microSD card. A 5000mAh battery also resides within the confines of the slate and coughs up internet browsing time of about 5 hours.

The Simmtronics XPad Freedom carries a price tag of Rs 13,999.
