Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch price slashed, costs $79

The Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch tablet has become even more affordable this holiday season, now that its price has been slashed to $79 from $99. About a couple of months ago, the company had also cut down the cost of the Simple Touch with GlowLight which is currently available for $119 (approx. Rs. 6,470).

The device in question measures 6.5 x 5.0 x 0.47 inches and tips the scales at merely 7.48 ounces. Its front panel is adorned with an E-Ink Pearl display that offers a multi-touch real estate of 6 inches. This screen boasts of employing Best-Text technology and tags along 7 font sizes as well as 6 different font styles for personalization. And if that’s not enough, it offers 800 x 600p resolution and its 16-level gray scale eliminates glaring effect even in bright sunlight.
