As per the specifications list, the major difference between the two Nook eReaders is the GlowLight feature. Through this, users can adjust the amount of illumination with a touch, making it easy to read even in the dark. Both devices are armed with a 6-inch E-Ink display that offers glare-free visuals in bright sunlight. Other common highlights include a compact form factor weighing less than 200 grams with a soft-touch back and 2GB of built-in storage.

Users can customize each of these devices by selecting between 7 font sizes and 6 styles. On a single charge, the Nook Simple Touch allows users to read for roughly two months when Wi-Fi is turned off. The Nook Simple Touch GlowLight delivers over a month of reading when the light is on and this can stretched up to two month with the feature switched off.
