The Acer Iconia W700 tablet PC made its first appearance back in June and after a long 4-month break the company has finally spelled out its price in the US as well as its release date details. Apart from the specifications we have already listed out earlier, the manufacturer has now shed light on the other components.

This 11.6-inch IPS screen touts a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and users can dock the slab in different positions to view content from almost any angle. What’s more, there’s also an Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU integrated within the Core i3 or Core i5 processors to enhance the visual quality. For connecting external displays or projectors, the Windows 8 slab is accompanied by a microHDMI to VGA adapter in addition to a built-in Acer Crystal Eye webcam that facilitates video conferencing in 720p.

Dock

Multimedia capabilities can be attributed to a 5MP camera fixed onto the rear. Customers can make use of this snapper to record clips in full HD and capture images with AF. There’s also a set of built-in speakers and the Dolby Home Theatre technology for an augmented entertainment experience. Features like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Always Connect and AcerCloud are also thrown into the mix. Lastly, the Iconia device weighs not more 2.3 pounds with a thickness measuring less than half an inch.

The company has tagged the Acer Iconia W700 at a starting price in the US of $799.99 (approx. Rs. 41,485), while its release date is scheduled for October 26. The device will be available for Acer corporate customers at a cost of $1,049.99 (approx. Rs. 54,450) with an extended two-year warranty and Windows 8 Pro. Buyers will be able to purchase the device through top retailers across the country.
