BlackBerry London to be first RIM device running BBX OS?

BlackBerry London Leaked Image

Speculations about a certain BlackBerry London to be the first device running the BBX OS, have been spreading across the technology world like wild fire. Reportedly, the Blackberry gadget could be expected to arrive on the scene in June 2012.

The rumors were sparked when The Verge put an image of a sleek BlackBerry device that would supposedly incorporate a 1.5GHz TI OMAP dual-core CPU backed by 1GB of RAM. Apparently, other specs could be a 2MP front facing camera and an 8MP one that will come embedded on the gadget’s rear panel.

The image boasts a handset with a large screen suggesting that it may be running a certain version of the PlayBook’s OS. A closer look reveals that the coloring as well as the icons has been played around with. Indeed christened as the ‘London’, this BlackBerry mobile phone may probably be thinner when compared to Apple iPhone 4 handset.

Additionally, the leaked image reveals that the handset would more or less be of the same size as the Galaxy S II. Reportedly, it can stand straight on one of sides but then again this contradicts its supposed sleek form factor. This possibly can only be confirmed when users get their hands on the device and from what it appears, they could just be waiting for quite a long period of time.

There has been no official word out on whether the BlackBerry London happens to be the company’s first handset to feature BBX OS. So falling in with the drill that speculations invite, fans can keep a watch out for further updates till the gadget decides to surface.
