The latest audio gadget to set foot in the U.S. is the Logitech UE Air Speaker, which takes advantage of Apple’s Airplay feature to stream music through the iPad, iPhone, and iPad as well as via iTunes. The sound quality of the Wi-Fi enabled system can be attributed to the dual tweeters and woofers deployed in it.
This audio gadget claims to render undiluted music through its stylishly designed chassis. The piano black colored device featuring subtle curves, is said to complement most settings. The customized acoustics utilized in the UE Air speaker can be expected to produce big sound-stage coupled with enhanced stereo sound.
“There’s a new breed of music fans whose iPad and iPhone devices are at the center of their listening activities. We created the Logitech UE Air Speaker to give those people a great audio experience that combines effortless streaming with fantastic sound. With its stylish, modern design, easy setup and excellent sound, the Logitech UE Air Speaker looks and sounds phenomenal in any room in the house,†stated Rory Dooley, senior vice president of music at Logitech.
It works in conjunction with iOS devices and requires a Wi-Fi connection to stream music using the AirPlay technology. Once the Apple device is docked onto the speaker system, users are prompted to follow the onscreen instructions for installing the Logitech UE Air app. The UE that charges the iDevices when docked, also works with iTunes 10.1 via Mac or Windows computers.
The Logitech UE Air Speaker price and availability details have been disclosed already. It carries a price tag that reads $399.99 (approx. Rs. 20,310) and will hit store shelves in the U.S. and Europe in April.
