Pioneer expands its audio video receivers line-up

Pioneer has unveiled the VSX-522, VSX-822, VSX-1022 and VSX-1122, four new audio video receivers which kick off its 2012 collection in this category. These 5.1- and 7.1-channel gadgets are compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Except for the VSX-522, all three aforementioned devices are DLNA 1.5 certified. This allows easy sharing of content from any networked Mac, PC or iDevice over an Ethernet connection. Those who opt for the VSX-1122 can also make use of the optional wireless Wi-Fi adapter.

“Portable devices like smartphones and tablets are now primary sources for audio and video entertainment so it’s extremely important that consumers can easily incorporate them with our receivers,” commented Chris Walker, director AV marketing and product planning for the home entertainment division of Pioneer Electronics, USA. “The new line of Pioneer receivers is the ideal home theater products for today’s consumers.”

All gadgets in the new range have been designed with a USB port on its front panel. They are embedded with Apple AirPlay technology as well. This permits users to play their iTunes libraries via these Pioneer AV receivers. The VSX-822, VSX-1022 and VSX-1122 builds also happen to be equipped with vTuner Internet radio, which gives users access to numerous web-based radio stations, apart from music services like Pandora.

The Pioneer VSX-522 and VSX-822 can be grabbed at $249.99 (approx. Rs. 12,520) and $379.99 (approx. Rs. 19,030), respectively. The VSX-1022 price tag reads $449.99 (approx. Rs. 22,540) and the VSX-1122 is purchasable for $599.99 (approx. Rs. 30,050). These audio video receivers are now available through the official Pioneer website.
