ODDIO1, a new over-the-ear concept headset in the making not only lets music fanatics listen to songs on the Apple iPod shuffle, but also houses it comfortably. Devised by Jeremy Saxton and Jacob Hall, the project currently features on Kickstarter where we also saw an accessory which converts the iPod nano into a watch.

It can safely be said that we have a considerably significant number of music lovers among us. And then there’s the Apple fan base, which is not just limited to the iPhone or the Mac. The idea of saying a gadget that’s built for portability is bothersome to carry around may sound laughable. But when it is to be employed in gyms, beaches, or at places where the user needs to be in a wire-free state, the thought might invite some empathy.

Though we do have options like Bluetooth headsets to serve this purpose, even these require the music player to be carried in the pockets, or worn on the arm. To make listening to music more hassle free, the developers have brought forth the ODDIO1 for the iPod shuffle. Owners or potential users of the shuffle can simply tuck it in the headset, connect the integrated pin, and they are ready to go.
