Dell XPS 14z laptop hits shelves in India

If techville had a tag line it would read, ‘thin is in’ and following the trend is the Dell XPS 14z laptop PC that has landed in India. The laptops sleekness meter reads about a mere 2.3 cm and it houses a 35.5cm HD WLED display in a 33cm form factor.

Running Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS, users can customize the portable PC to include second generation chips with either Intel Core i5 or Core i7 Dual Core processor. Users also have the option to integrate Nvidia graphic card. Additionally, the 7200RPM hard disk storage can be expanded from 500GB to 750GB. As also, the 4GB dual channel DDR3 can be expanded upto 8GB DDR3 to proffer 1333Mhz speed. The afore mentioned Windows OS also comes with Dell Stage user interface that allows users to access their commonly used content in a single click.

The gadget tips the scale at 1.98 k and wears anodized-aluminum finish which gives it a stylish edge. The design incorporates a spill-resistant, black lit keyboard that may laptops have come to integrate these days. Then there are the dual array digital microphones, stereo speakers with a 1.3MP HD Webcam in place. The Dell XPS 14z laptop proffers six hours of battery life on a single charge. It’s Bluetooth 3.0 enabled and has an HDMI as well as a mini DisplayPort. The arrival of this offering expands the company’s existing XPS lineup to include one which can claim to be among the company’s thinnest laptops.
