JVC moves in with DLA-HD250 home theater projector

JVC DLA-HD250 Projector

The clutter of home theater solutions seems to have stumbled upon the creation of novel home theater projectors. JVC has now rolled out a new projector featuring D-ILA technology for home theater usage. The model is entitled as the DLA-HD250 by JVC consumer and the DLA-HD250Pro by JVC professional.

Delivering 25,000:1 native contrast ratio and 1,000 ANSI lumens brightness, the latest offering flaunts a charismatic cinema-like experience right in front of users’ couch. The DLA-HD250/250Pro comes with three 0.7-inch 1920 x 1080 D-ILA devices in order to produce a naturally rich, flicker-free picture with true blacks. An extraordinary luminance detail is also exclusively pointed out when watching movies with the help of the projector.

“JVC projectors have been widely acclaimed for their performance, but they’ve remained out of reach for home theater enthusiasts with a limited budget. With this new projector we bring D-ILA’s remarkable film-like image quality and impressive native contrast to an entirely new market segment,” shared Gary Klasmeier, product engineering manager, D-ILA Systems, JVC Professional Products.

Without the need of a dynamic iris to artificially inflate contrast specifications, the DLA-HD250/250Pro renders exceptional native contrast when merged with JVC’s wire-grid optical engine. A premium image reproduction with precision I/P conversion and scaling is proffered by an advanced HQV Reon-VX video processor by Silicon Optix. Thanks to its 1,000 lumens of brightness, the peripheral is perfect for bright environments as well. Other highlights subsume a high-performance 2x motorized zoom lens with auto dust cover, customizable gamma control and silent (19dB) operation.

Backed by two-year warranty, the DLA-HD250/250Pro projector is anticipated to be available later this month for $2,995 (approx Rs. 1,34,800).
